Tour of Missouri - Pro Cycling Event
Infusiast ProfileThe Tour of Missouri is a world-class, multiple-day professional cycling race and rolling festival held annually in early September. The inaugural event was held in 2007. The 2009 event had more than 500,000 spectators for the week (up from 434,000 + in 2008), a $38.1 economic impact for the State and its host communities (up from $29.8 million in 2008) and media impressions from around the globe; including web hits from 168 countries. Infusion provided live streaming video of the event in 2007, developed the website, produced behind the scenes videos, provided live streaming services, and managed Fan Newsletter recruitment and distribution in 2008, and provided the same services plus developed the "Tour of Missouri Fan Zone" in 2009. The Fan Zone allowed cycling fans to share their photos and videos with others, as well as connect with them within an on-line community. The Fan Zone also provided fan video contests, including the giveaway of a Cannondale Racing Bike. Infusion also created a custom Volunteer management system for Tour of Missouri, allowing the hundreds of volunteers to sign up and complete necassary documents, and for volunteer coordinators to manage and communicate with the volunteers.
